After studying its morphology, we have been able to identify the most important streets and squares in order to be able to revitalise its historic fabric. Through the dense fabric of the Mediaeval centres of Acerenza and Forenza the main street follows the spine of the ridge and opens only occasionally onto smaller spaces, with the exception of the main square. The work in Acerenza involved the Cathedral Square only, the highest point of the town, and the Square of the Archbishop's Palace situated on the main street. The project involved working with local stone, lighting and replacing the interpolations of the nineteenth century with the use of cobblestones.
